Senior People Partner

About the Role (What you’ll be doing)

As a Senior People Partner, you’ll be a strategic advisor, trusted challenger, and operational leader - enabling high-performing teams to thrive. You’ll work directly with business leaders to shape culture, grow capability, and drive people decisions that are commercially sound, context-aware, and grounded in care.

You'll partner across two core areas:

Strategic Partnership:

  • Coach for Impact: Partner with leaders to understand their goals, challenge assumptions, and influence stronger, more deliberate decisions. Support them to lead with clarity, confidence, and consistency.
  • Build Leadership Capability: Equip leaders to have the right conversations, especially when expectations aren’t being met. Drive accountability and shape approaches to performance, reward, and recognition that are fair, consistent, and aligned to business goals.
  • Resolve Complex Issues: Provide expert, context-aware guidance on nuanced people matters, including underperformance, complaints, employee disputes, and visa requirements, across multiple markets.
  • Think Two Steps Ahead: Anticipate business shifts, identify risks and opportunities early, and shape workforce strategy and planning accordingly.

People Operations and Enablement:

  • Use Data to Influence: Bring clarity through metrics. Use insights to support planning, performance management, compensation, and engagement.
  • Improve What We Own: Continuously iterate on our People Systems, and Processes — making them clearer, leaner, and more scalable.
  • Deliver at Scale: Own or support the delivery of key people programs, including performance and remuneration cycles, engagement initiatives, audits, and other critical touchpoints - ensuring they land with consistency and impact.

About you (Who you are)

  • 5+ years in a strategic HR Manager or People Business Partner role within a high-performance environment (e.g. tech, high-growth startup, or consulting)
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR compliance (bonus points for familiarity with German or South African employment frameworks)
  • Experience managing direct reports and supporting people leaders across functions
  • Proficient in tracking and interpreting people metrics to inform decisions and improve outcomes
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to lead initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including performance reviews, remuneration cycles, and audits

Behaviours & Attitudes

  • Commercially minded and strategic, you balance business priorities with empathy and sound judgement
  • Highly collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Strong sense of ownership—able to manage multiple priorities and deliver reliably
  • Detail-oriented and organised, with a bias for execution and continuous improvement
