About the role (What You'll Do)
In this role, you'll own visual craft end-to-end; from shaping how a campaign idea comes to life in a pitch, to what it looks and feels like in market across paid social, YouTube, and beyond. Some days that means being on the tools yourself, and on others it means directing a shoot or guiding a team through a fast-turnaround sprint. The work spans quick social shoots at the Juniper office through to multi-month campaigns with celebrities, and everything in between. Working closely with the performance marketing team, the role is as much about what performs as what looks great — feeding creative data back into ideation and driving fast iterations across Juniper's weekly creative cycles. As the visual identity custodian for the growth team, this role is also the connective tissue between growth, product, web, and global brand, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint and acting as the growth team's key point of contact through an upcoming rebrand.
- Lead the visual craft of projects from concept to execution & live in market — spanning art direction, storyboarding, campaign identity, and social content, with a strong focus on paid social and campaign and YouTube. You'll be on the tools yourself or directing others, depending on the day and project, with work ranging from quick-turnaround social shoots in the Juniper office with staff or testimonial talent, to multi-month campaigns with celebrities.
- Respond to early-stage briefs by generating ideas and pitching them to senior stakeholders, to shape at a high level how our brand shows up to our market.
- Champion art and visual direction across pre-production and on set. You are responsible not only for the idea, but for how it is produced. Contribute to casting decisions and collaborate with external contractors (stylists, producers, HMUA, production designers, etc) to guide the team and deliver visuals that best answer the brief.
- Review creative performance data and contribute to weekly ideation sessions with the performance marketing team— bringing insights back into the work and being hands-on in making improvements & iterations happen within Juniper's fast weekly creative performance sprints.
- Guide day-to-day output from paid social editing teams, while executing on simultaneous projects across larger campaigns.
- Manage and coach a small team of senior creatives specialising in post-production.
- As the most senior designer or art director in the growth team, act as custodian of Juniper's visual identity — building cross-functional relationships with designers across product, web, email, global teams, and the global creative director to share learnings, align on visual identities, and drive consistency across all brand touchpoints. You will act as the growth team's key point of contact for a rebrand.
